Innovative technology reduces environmental impacts

The most recent of these technologies is the MaskoFlex^® technology from J. Hvidtved Larsen A/S. This mobile dewatering system removes water from a variety of liquid wastes onsite and then returns the water to the source. “Our mobile dewatering units eliminate the need to transport waste streams containing water, consequently reducing the carbon emissions associated with the transportation of waste. It also increases the opportunity to reuse a valuable resource,” says Darren Bartlett.
 

Case study: Australian International Airshow – Avalon 2011
Bartlett’s Environmental have provided the liquid waste management for the Avalon Airshow events since 1997 and were contracted to supply the liquid waste management and the cleaning and maintenance of the toilets at the 2011 event with over 170,000 visitors.
 

Bartlett’s Environmental removed approximately 472,000 litres of liquid waste throughout the entire event. Bartlett’s ability to effectively plan and manage the flow of liquid waste, control odour and schedule employees meant the toilets were at all times kept in good condition. There were no major incidents, blockages or overflows and therefore environmental or health and safety issues were prevented.
